Chris Grapsas FMI Announcement

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Chris Grapsas to the FMI Aerostructures Executive Leadership Team in the role of Vice President of Business Development.

In this role, Chris will lead the execution of FMI’s sales vision and Go-To-Market strategy. He will also work closely with our customers to align FMI’s business performance to our partners’ value expectations. This key leadership position is also responsible for expanding capabilities across the company and managing the successful on-boarding and growth of new programs.

Chris will be based at our Valencia Headquarters in Southern California as he leads our customer facing team. As FMI looks to strengthen our national presence and promote sales beyond our traditional manufacturing capabilities, it is critical that we invest in our customer facing functions to drive expanded relationships.

Chris has over 16 years of experience in the aerospace & defense and oil & gas manufacturing supply chains with a strong track record of driving new business growth across a wide variety of products and services. He also has a robust business development and commercial contracts background with a passion for building teams that enable growth and foster strong customer relationships. Most recently Chris was the Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Valence Surface Technologies, North America’s largest special processing and surface treatment provider for the A&D supply chain. Prior to Valence Chris, held leadership roles at Hixson Metal Finishing, Calnetix Technologies and Dresser-Rand (A Siemens Business).

Chris shared, “I am honored to join the FMI leadership team and work closely with our customer facing organization. FMI has an excellent reputation in the A&D supply chain, and I look forward to building off this foundation to drive growth and successful outcomes with our key customers.”

Chris has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Colorado State University and is a certified green belt in six sigma.
