FMI Aerostructures Announces CEO Transition and Strategic Leadership Appointments

Valencia, CA – FMI Aerostructures (FMI) is pleased to announce a significant milestone in the continuous improvement and evolution the organization. Effective December 1st, 2023, the Board of Directors of FMI has appointed Eric Ellis as the new Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”). In conjunction with Eric’s promotion, Tim Mickael, the incumbent CEO, is transitioning to a new role as Chief Development Officer and is a member of the FMI Board of Directors.

Eric Ellis joined FMI in May of 2023 as President and Chief Operating Officer after 25 years of experience in the aerospace and defense industry.  His extensive background includes key engineering, operations, and executive leadership positions at Danaher, L3Harris, and General Dynamics.  Most recently, Mr. Ellis served as the Senior Vice-President and General Manager of GD-OTS Precision Systems business unit, leading the 2,000 employee, 15 site organization through a period of sustained multi-year growth.

Embracing his new role as CEO, Ellis expressed his enthusiasm and commitment, stating, “I am honored to take on this role at FMI Aerostructures. I look forward to building upon the foundation that Tim has helped establish. We have a dedicated team, a commitment to excellence and a strong portfolio of capabilities that position us for continued success.”

Tim Mickael, who joined FMI in 2021 and led the acquisition of the Company by Endeavour Capital, has played a vital role in developing the strategic vision and organizational foundation to position FMI as a world class supplier for the aerospace and defense industry. As Chief Development Officer, Mr. Mickael will be focused on executing the Company’s growth strategy and expanding FMI’s market presence, capabilities, and capacity to meet the growing demands of our customers.
