Organizational Announcement and Introduction to New President and COO and Director of Operations

At FMI, we are committed to continuous improvement and building a culture of operational excellence to support our mission of becoming the leading value-added supply chain partner for aerostructure components. Today, we are excited to share a significant milestone on our journey.

We are delighted to announce that Eric Ellis has been appointed as our new President & COO, effective Monday, May 8th. Eric’s experience and leadership skills will be instrumental in guiding FMI’s operations and strategic growth.

Eric brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to FMI. He served as SVP (Senior Vice President), General Manager at General Dynamics from 2016-2022 and held key leadership roles at L3 Harris between 2007 and 2016. With his background in mechanical engineering and business administration, Eric is ideally positioned to lead our operational transformation and prepare us for future growth.

In addition to Eric, we’re excited to introduce Narbeh Hakoupian, our new Director of Operations. With 12 years of industry experience spanning Quality, Operations, Continuous Improvement and Manufacturing, Narbeh will be central to driving operational excellence and our lean manufacturing playbook. His passion for safety, continuous improvement, standardized work, and employee development are perfectly aligned with our culture and vision.

In line with these new appointments, we are evolving our internal structure to better serve our customers. Sevak Piry, previously GM, is transitioning to a new role as Manufacturing Technology Manager that leverages his deep expertise and passion for manufacturing excellence that focuses on new product integration, technical sales, automation and machine technology strategy. This strategic shift will allow us to accelerate our innovation and technical capabilities and further our commitment customer satisfaction.

FMI is committed to become the best value and least risk supply chain partner and we will continue to enhance our team, processes, and capabilities to best service our customers and enable the success of their programs. Eric, Sevak and Narbeh are looking forward to their new roles and working directly with our customers and stakeholders to build successful long-term partnerships.
